Emerald Maldives Resort & Spa sits on Fasmendhoo, a 20-hectare private island in Raa Atoll, 40–45 minutes north of Malé by seaplane. Its 120 villas are split evenly, 60 on the beach and 60 over the lagoon, and a house reef wraps around the whole island, so reef fish and turtles are a short swim from the sand. There's room for two tennis courts, two padel courts, an air-conditioned gym and the 1,500 m² Dolphin Kids Club, where 3 to 12-year-olds get their own pool, restaurant and a zip wire across the island. Deluxe All-Inclusive runs across 4 restaurants, from the open-fire grill at Amazonico to the teppanyaki counter at Le Asiatique. Fasmendhoo is a 20-hectare private island with a long white-sand beach and a wide lagoon, so 120 villas never crowd it. The beach villas sit among mature palms and gardens, the water villas run out along jetties over the lagoon, and the land in between holds 4 restaurants, a spa, a sports centre and a kids club.
The reef rings the whole island, so you can walk in from the beach and snorkel over coral and reef fish, and turtles are among the sightings guests report. The lagoon inside the reef is wide and calm, which makes it an easy first snorkel for beginners and older children.
Amazonico opened as the first South American restaurant in the Maldives, with Brazilian, Peruvian, Mexican, Argentinian and Chilean dishes from a large open-fire grill. Le Asiatique adds a teppanyaki counter in the middle of the island's tropical garden, Beach Club Grill cooks Maldivian lobster on a stone grill, and Aqua runs the buffet with live cooking stations.
The complimentary Dolphin Kids Club takes children aged 3 to 12 across 1,500 m², with a splash play area, an adventure playground, its own pool and children's restaurant, and a zip wire from one side of the island to the other. The childcare team runs an activity programme, and babysitting is available at extra cost.
Two tennis courts and two padel courts sit alongside an air-conditioned gym, with personal trainers available to every guest. The Yoga Pavilion runs sunrise yoga and breathing sessions, so a match in the morning still leaves time for the reef before lunch.

Hobie Cats, kayaks, windsurfing and kitesurfing equipment are available from the Water Sports Centre, and non-motorised water sports are free of charge. Motorised water sports are at extra cost.

Getting There
Seaplane Transfer
40–45 minutes from Malé International Airport

The seaplane flies north from Malé to Raa Atoll in 40–45 minutes, low enough to see the reefs and sandbanks below, and lands beside the lagoon near the island's private marina. If you'd rather fly domestic, there's also a 30-minute flight from Malé to Ifuru, followed by a short speedboat ride across to Fasmendhoo.

Yes, all ages are welcome. The Dolphin Kids Club is complimentary for children aged 3 to 12, and the Family Beach Villa with Pool has a separate children's bedroom with its own bathroom.
Deluxe All-Inclusive lets you dine around the island's 4 restaurants: breakfast at Aqua, lunch at Aqua or Beach Club Grill, and dinner at any of the four. Amazonico and Le Asiatique serve a set menu, with other dishes at a supplement, and both need a reservation, so book them early in your stay. In-villa dining is charged separately.
There's no separate Indian restaurant. Aqua's buffet includes vegetarian options, and Beach Club Grill cooks vegetables on its stone grill. Tell us your dietary needs at booking and we'll pass them to the resort.
