Lohis is a left-hand wave breaking down one side of the island, and six more breaks lie a short boat ride away. The resort limits surfing to 45 surfers a day so the line-up stays uncrowded, and the 18 Lohis Villas sit a 20-second walk from the break. Surfing is seasonal and needs a surf pass booked in advance.

Hiyala Bar beside the pool never closes, and serves snacks mid-morning, late afternoon and at midnight. Meals move between Banyan's international buffet, the North and South Indian menu at Indian Pavilion and Beach Grill's daytime snack menu.

Hudhuran Fushi is an established 83-acre island, so the villas sit among full-grown palms and thick tropical gardens rather than young planting. Sandy paths through the greenery link the beaches, restaurants, pool and spa,, and everything on the island is within walking distance.

The Koamas Kids Club, a kids' pool and 13 Family Beach Villas of 111 m² for up to 6 guests are all on the island, and there's a resident doctor if anyone needs one.

The house reef is reached straight from the beach, and the resort runs a morning snorkeling trip by boat, with equipment, for guests who want to see more. Scuba diving runs from the island's dive centre at extra cost.

Beach Villa

A 59 m² villa along the island's shoreline, with its own sun deck and a beach and lagoon view. It has a king bed plus a daybed for up to 3 guests, an ensuite bathroom and tea, coffee and espresso facilities. With 46 of them ringing the island, it's the resort's main beach category.

Deluxe Beach Villa

A 59 m² beach-view villa a few steps from the sand, among the newer villas on the island. It has a king bed and daybed for up to 3 guests, an ensuite bathroom, a mini bar and an in-room safe.

Sunrise Ocean Villa

A 64 m² thatched-roof villa on a wooden walkway over the lagoon, with a sunrise-facing deck and private steps straight down into the water. It has a king bed and daybed for up to 3 guests, floor-to-ceiling windows and a bathtub, which only the Ocean Villas have. Ocean Villa guests can also dine at Sunset Restaurant.

Sunset Ocean Villa — a 64 m² overwater villa on the sunset side of the lagoon with a king bed and daybed for up to 3 guests, private steps into the water, a bathtub and Sunset Restaurant dining.

North and South Indian cuisine for lunch, from 12:30 to 2:30 PM, and dinner, from 7:30 to 9:30 PM. It's a dedicated Indian restaurant, separate from the main buffet, so Indian food is on offer at both main meals every day.

The island's main restaurant, serving an international buffet with traditional Maldivian dishes. Breakfast runs from 7:30 to 9:30 AM, lunch from 12:30 to 2:30 PM and dinner from 7:30 to 9:30 PM.

International cooking with continental, Indian, Chinese and Arabic dishes, served at breakfast, lunch and dinner, with an à la carte menu from 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM. It's reserved for Ocean Villa guests; other guests can dine here with a prior reservation.

A casual beachfront grill with a snack menu from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM, for an easy lunch between swims. The bar side stays open until 10:00 PM for drinks by the sand.

An open-air bar on the Lohis surf break, serving oven-baked pizza from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM and drinks until 11:00 PM, with the surfers right in front of you. Its buffet breakfast and lunch are reserved for surfers during the surf season, March to November.

The poolside bar and the only venue on the island open 24 hours, pouring international spirits and non-alcoholic drinks around the clock. Snacks come out from 10:00 to 11:00 AM, 4:00 to 5:00 PM and 11:00 PM to midnight.

The resort's cocktail bar, mixing its signature cocktails from 10:00 AM to midnight. Shisha is available here at extra cost.

Activities & Wellness

The house reef can be snorkeled straight from the beach, and the resort runs a morning snorkeling trip by boat with equipment provided. Scuba diving runs from the island's dive centre at extra cost, on the house reef and at sites around North Malé Atoll.

Canoes and stand-up paddleboards are available for exploring the lagoon, and catamaran sailing is open to guests with a sailing license. Jet skiing, water skiing, parasailing and flyboarding run at extra cost.

The resort runs sunset cruises and dolphin cruises, and at extra cost a submarine dive, a Malé city tour, full-day island hopping with a BBQ, local island visits and a banana garden tour.

The spa works with traditional therapeutic methods, with treatments ranging from aromatherapy massages to Elemis face and body treatments, all at extra cost.

On land there's tennis, badminton, beach volleyball, football, table tennis and a pool table, plus a gym, the main pool and daily entertainment. Children have the Koamas Kids Club and a kids' pool.

About 30 minutes from Velana International Airport

After landing at Velana International Airport (MLE), an Adaaran representative meets you at the airport and walks you to the resort's speedboat. The island is 19 km away, about 30 minutes by speedboat in normal sea conditions — no seaplane connection to wait for.
