Centara Grand Lagoon Maldives sits in North Malé Atoll and is the calmer of the two resorts that make up The Atollia by Centara. Its livelier sister, Centara Mirage Lagoon, shares the same lagoon, and guests here can use its water complex of slides, a lazy river and a water playground. The island opened in April 2025 with 142 villas and residences, from 78 sqm one-bedroom overwater villas to a 290 sqm three-bedroom residence, and every one has a private pool, a jacuzzi or both. Five restaurants and bars include The Gallery with its tandoor and teppanyaki grills, Bluefin's Mediterranean beach club and Sunset Social's overwater deck, alongside SPA Cenvaree Retreat, a main pool with a separate serenity pool, a Kids' Club and an E-Zone. The island is about 40 minutes from the airport by speedboat.

Centara Grand Lagoon and Centara Mirage Lagoon share one lagoon and run together as The Atollia by Centara. You stay on the quieter island, with its serenity pool and overwater Sunset Social, and can still spend an afternoon at Mirage Lagoon's water complex — water slides, a lazy river, a kids' pool and a water playground.
All 142 villas and residences have a private pool, a jacuzzi or both, from the 78 sqm One-Bedroom Overwater Villa with Jacuzzi to the 290 sqm Three-Bedroom Sunset Overwater Pool Residence. Select villas have connecting doors, and the Grand Two-Bedroom villas and three-bedroom residences add a separate living and dining area.
The island has its own Kids' Club and an E-Zone for older children, babysitting on request, and a resident doctor and nurse on call 24/7. The two-bedroom family villas sleep up to six adults and two children, so a family doesn't have to split across separate rooms.
SPA Cenvaree Retreat is Centara's own spa brand, with treatments drawn from Thai, Ayurvedic and Maldivian traditions. The island also has a fitness centre, and the main pool has a separate serenity pool for quieter afternoons.
The resort officially opened on 1 April 2025, so the villas, pools, restaurants and spa are all in their first years. Interiors use earth tones and locally sourced materials, with a balcony or deck on every villa.

The main restaurant, at the north end of the island, open for breakfast (7:00–10:30 AM), lunch (12:30–3:30 PM) and dinner (7:00–10:00 PM). A buffet with live stations and an Asian Hub runs alongside tandoor and teppanyaki grills. This is where you'll find the Indian dishes and the vegetarian options.
A modern Mediterranean restaurant on the beach at the island's southwest corner, open for lunch (12:30–3:30 PM) and dinner (7:00–10:00 PM). Fresh seafood leads the menu, and there's live music in the evenings.
An overwater champagne and cocktail bar on the southwest corner, open from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM, with catamaran-net seating suspended over the lagoon. Come for the sunset and stay to watch the fish under the deck; the menu also covers Maldivian atoll dishes.
The pool bar in the centre of the island, open from 10:00 AM to 11:00 PM, serving laid-back cocktails, snacks and light bites. It serves the main pool, which has a separate serenity pool for quieter afternoons.
An intimate lounge on the northwest corner, open from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM, serving breakfast, afternoon tea and pre-dinner cocktails with sunset views. Access depends on the meal plan — it's open to guests on selected plans, including all-inclusive.
Activities & Wellness
Snorkel the lagoon straight from the overwater villas, or join the guided snorkeling and dive trips to established reefs in North Malé Atoll, including night dives for certified divers. The Atollia's PADI dive centre also runs courses for first-time divers.
Canoes and paddleboards are available for exploring the lagoon at your own pace. The Atollia's water sports centre adds kayaking, sailing and jet skiing.
Fishing trips and guided excursions around North Malé Atoll, along with snorkeling trips to reefs beyond the island, can be booked at the resort.

Getting There
Speedboat Transfer
About 40 minutes from Malé International Airport

Centara has its own booth in the arrivals hall at Malé International Airport, where the team checks you in for the transfer and walks you to the speedboat. The crossing to the island takes about 40 minutes across North Malé Atoll, depending on the sea that day — no seaplane connection to wait for.

Yes. The two resorts operate together as The Atollia by Centara, so the water complex at Centara Mirage Lagoon — water slides, a lazy river, a kids' pool and a water playground — is open to you. Its restaurants are the exception: those need the Atollia Plan.
A copy of your marriage certificate or wedding invitation card, dated within the last 6 months, is all you need to avail the honeymoon benefits.
There's no separate Indian restaurant. The Gallery, the main restaurant, has tandoor grills alongside its buffet and live stations, so Indian dishes are on its menu, and vegetarian options are available. Tell us your dietary needs at booking and we'll pass them to the resort.
The island opened in April 2025, so its house reef is younger than those around older Maldivian islands. You can snorkel the lagoon from the overwater villas, and for more developed coral the resort runs guided snorkeling and dive trips to established reefs in North Malé Atoll.

No. Coco Drift, the pool bar, is open from 10:00 AM to 11:00 PM, and Sunset Social from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM. In-villa dining is available 24 hours.
