The Resort at a Glance
Adults-Only, 18+ All-Inclusive Reef 20m Offshore 20 Mins by Speedboat

An adults-only island where the reef starts twenty metres off the jetty and no one under 18 sets foot on the sand.

Centara Ras Fushi sits in North Malé Atoll, 20 minutes by speedboat from Malé International Airport — close enough that a late-night landing still gets you to the island the same night. Its 140 beachfront and overwater villas are reserved for guests aged 18 and above, so the island stays quiet in a way family resorts can't. Seven dining venues cover Thai, Italian, Middle Eastern and buffet dining on an island you can walk around in twenty minutes, SPA Cenvaree runs nine oceanfront treatment rooms, and the house reef — reef sharks, turtles and eagle rays, a short swim from your villa steps — is the reason most guests come back.

Best For

Couples and honeymooners who want an adults-only island with real snorkeling off the jetty — without a seaplane transfer or a five-figure nightly rate.

Not Ideal For

Families — nobody under 18 is admitted, and cots or extra beds aren't available. Travelling with children? See Centara Mirage Lagoon Maldives.

Not "adults-preferred" — nobody under 18 checks in, and the resort doesn't keep cots or extra beds. The pool has no shallow end full of kids, the buffet doesn't run a children's counter, and the loudest thing at 10am is usually the water sports centre.
The reef edge sits about 20 metres off the jetty, so the good snorkeling starts before you've finished swimming out. Blacktip and whitetip reef sharks, hawksbill and green turtles and eagle rays are all regular sightings — no boat, no excursion fee, no waiting for a scheduled trip.
Thai at Suan Bua with sand under your feet, Italian at La Brezza over the pool, Middle Eastern under the canvas of Al Khaimah, rotating buffets at Oceans, and three bars including an overwater one built for sunset. On an island you can walk around in twenty minutes, that's a different dinner every night without a boat transfer.
Centara's own Thai wellness brand runs the spa here — nine treatment rooms facing the ocean, with couples' rooms, traditional Thai massage and Ayurvedic-influenced therapies. The soundtrack is the water rather than a playlist.
Speedboats run regardless of daylight, unlike seaplanes — so a late-night arrival into Malé still ends with you on the island that night instead of in an airport hotel. It also means no second transfer cost eating into the honeymoon budget.
Villa Types
Lagoon View Beach Villa with direct beach access at Centara Ras Fushi

Lagoon View Beach Villa

On powdery sand with the lagoon a few steps from the door. King bed, lounging area and a bathroom with shower — the simplest way onto this island, and the easiest villa to walk straight out of and into the water.

Overwater Villa on the jetty above the lagoon at Centara Ras Fushi

Overwater Villa

Suspended above the lagoon with private steps into the water — which is how you get to the house reef in under a minute. King bed and ocean views on three sides.

Overwater Villa with outdoor swirl pool spa bathtub at Centara Ras Fushi

Overwater Villa with Swirl Pool

The same overwater villa with a large outdoor spa bathtub on the deck — a jacuzzi to sit in with a drink, not a pool to swim in. 42 sqm, direct lagoon access, and the most common upgrade honeymooners take here.

Sunset Overwater Villa with swirl pool facing west at Centara Ras Fushi

Sunset Overwater Villa with Swirl Pool

The top category — same overwater layout and deck spa bathtub, but on the western jetty, so the sunset lands in front of your villa rather than behind it. Worth the difference if you plan to spend evenings on the deck.

Also Available
Lagoon View Beach Villa with Swirl Pool — the beach villa with an outdoor spa bathtub added to the sun deck, for couples who'd rather stay on the sand than on a jetty.
Sunset Overwater Villa — west-facing overwater villa with the sunset view but no deck spa bathtub; the cheaper way to get the better outlook.

Viu Bar
The island's main restaurant and where your meals are served — buffets that rotate theme by night across Asian, Indian, Middle Eastern, European and South American, with a Maldivian-style setting and a live cooking counter. Breakfast 7–10am, lunch 12–2pm, dinner 7–10pm.
Thai cooking drawn from all four regions of the country, served poolside with sand underfoot — Centara is a Thai group, so this is the kitchen they take most seriously. Lunch 12–2pm, dinner 7–10pm.
Italian plates and specialty seafood on a terrace looking over the pool and out to the ocean, with a wine cave to pick from. The easiest choice for a proper sit-down dinner without leaving the resort's centre. Lunch 12–2pm, dinner 7–10pm.
Set in a garden under a Bedouin-style tent, with hand-crushed spices and char-grilled specialties — the most distinctive room on the island and the one most couples book for a special night. Dinner only, 7–10pm.
The overwater bar, with hammocks and unobstructed ocean views — built for the hour before dinner. Cocktails and light bites, 10am to midnight, making it the last place open on the island.
Swim-up and beach-side drinks next to the main pool, so an afternoon there doesn't require putting shoes on. Open 10am to 6pm.
The arrival and departure bar — juices, cocktails and somewhere comfortable to sit out the gap between check-out and your speedboat. Open 10am to 11pm.

Worth knowing: your meals are served at Oceans. Suan Bua, La Brezza and Al Khaimah are à la carte venues that may carry a supplement or a dining credit depending on the plan you book — message us and we'll confirm exactly what your rate covers before you pay.

Activities & Wellness
The reef edge is roughly 20 metres off the jetty, so this is a swim rather than an excursion. Blacktip and whitetip reef sharks, hawksbill and green turtles and eagle rays are regular sightings, and gear is included for your whole stay. Guided snorkeling trips to nearby sites run as well if you want to go further out.
A PADI 5-star centre on the island, with around 39 catalogued sites within reach including the Victory wreck. First-timers can do an introductory dive on the house reef before committing to a course; certified divers get channel and thila dives across North Malé Atoll.
Kayaks and paddleboards are complimentary and available whenever the lagoon is calm. Motorised and sail-powered options — windsurfing, catamarans, parasailing, water skiing and wakeboarding — run from the water sports centre for a fee.
Half- and full-day island hopping, sunset cruises, sunset fishing, and dolphin trips — all short runs from here, since you're in North Malé Atoll rather than an hour out at sea. Worth booking on arrival rather than in advance, so you can pick your weather.
Centara's own Thai wellness brand, with nine oceanfront treatment rooms including rooms set up for couples. Traditional Thai massage sits alongside Ayurvedic-influenced therapies, plus a manicure and pedicure salon. Book couples' slots early — there are only so many of them on a small island.
The main pool sits on the beachfront with the Waves bar beside it, the fitness centre is open through the day, and the E-Zone keeps music, films and games for a rainy afternoon. Beach volleyball and live entertainment fill the evenings — this island runs slightly livelier after dark than most adults-only resorts.
Getting There
Speedboat Transfer
20 minutes from Malé International Airport

A resort representative meets you in the arrivals hall and walks you to the jetty for a 20-minute run across North Malé Atoll. Speedboats aren't tied to daylight hours the way seaplanes are, so transfers run to match international flight times — a late landing still ends with you on the island the same night.
